Wine Me Up Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This policy explains how Wine Me Up LLC ("Wine Me Up," "we," "us") collects and uses information about you. It covers our websites (winemeupwa.com, events.winemeupwa.com, and wineries.winemeupwa.com), our email and text-message lists, and visits to our wine bar at 317 NW Gilman Blvd #30B, Issaquah, WA 98027.

2. Information you give us

  • Sip Squad signup: your email address and, if you choose, your first and last name. Some Sip Squad signup forms also offer an optional mobile-number field for text messages (see section 5).
  • Private-event inquiries: your name, email, phone number, preferred date, number of guests, type of event, and any details you share.
  • Winery and partner inquiries: the contact and business details you submit.
  • In-person visits: if you ask us to save your details (for example for a private event or an emailed receipt), we may store your name, email, and phone number in our point-of-sale system.
  • Event tickets: tickets for some events are sold through Eventbrite. Eventbrite shares your name and email with us as the event organizer.

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit our websites, our website host records basic visit information, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the page that referred you. We use this to understand how the site is used.

4. How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries and plan private events.
  • To send our newsletter, event announcements, and offers you signed up for.
  • To manage event tickets and attendance.
  • To understand which of our marketing works, and to improve our website.
  • To show our ads to people who have visited our site or interacted with us (see section 6).
  • To comply with the law and protect our business.

5. Email and text messages

We send marketing emails only to people who signed up. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

Giving us your mobile number when you join the Sip Squad is optional. If you choose to provide it, you are signing up to receive recurring marketing text messages from Wine Me Up about events, specials, and offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You do not need to sign up for texts to join the Sip Squad by email or to make a purchase. We use your mobile number only to send you these messages and do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.

6. Analytics and advertising

We use the following tools on our websites. Google Ads is not active yet; we will update this policy before we start using it.

  • Google Analytics: measures how visitors use our site, such as pages viewed and buttons clicked.
  • Google Ads: measures whether our Google ads lead to actions like calls, directions, or signups, and may show our ads to people who visited our site.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram): measures whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to actions on our site, and lets us show ads to people who visited our site.
  • Eventbrite event pages: may use the same Google and Meta tools to measure ticket purchases from our ads.

These tools use cookies or similar technologies, and they share information about your visit (such as pages viewed and actions taken) with Google and Meta. Google's and Meta's own privacy policies cover how they use that information. We also note which link, ad or campaign brought you to our website (for example an Instagram post, an email or a Google ad) and store that with a Sip Squad signup or event inquiry, so we can tell which of our marketing is working.

We may also upload our email list to Google or Meta in a scrambled (hashed) form. We do this to show our ads to subscribers, or to avoid showing ads to people who already know us. Only subscribers who signed up for marketing are included.

Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of personalized ads through Google Ads Settings, Meta's ad preferences, and the Digital Advertising Alliance. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data with Google's browser opt-out add-on.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run Wine Me Up, including:

  • Mailchimp (email and text messages)
  • our website host and database provider
  • Lightspeed (point of sale)
  • Eventbrite (event tickets)
  • Google and Meta (analytics and advertising, as described above)

We may also share information if required by law, or to protect our rights, customers, or staff.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your information as long as you stay subscribed or as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, then delete it or keep it only where the law requires.

9. Your choices and requests

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time, or reply STOP to texts. To see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, email us at info@winemeupwa.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

10. Children

Our bar and websites are intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

11. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or system is completely secure.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
